The Monster Market 2019 Pop-Up at 618 S. Main Street in downtown Memphis, Tennessee.

The iconic yellow vinyl was designed by Holtermonster, cut at the Crosstown Arts Shared Art Studio, and applied by friends!

Legend of Shelda posing with her Sideburns illustration that I included in the branding pattern and even applied to the window in vinyl!

2019 Shop Interior

The view from the register at the 2018 Pop-Up was one of my favorites!— right in front of the doors to greet guests, and full of sunlight.

Holtermonster designed this table, and cut it on a CNC machine at Crosstown Arts’ Shared Art Making. It comes apart into 3 flat pieces for storage, and requires no glue or nails to assemble!

Cheeky pieces from A Shop of Things, based in Nashville, TN.

Framed collage pieces by Amelie’s Anomalies

Prints (L-R) by Sarah Day Arts, Garracula, and Dom Pere, felted succulents and mushrooms in 3D-printed skull planters by Corby Crow, copperformed necklace by Amelie’s Anomalies, third eye pendants and weed stickers by Sarah Day Arts, mushroom stickers from Mushroom Vintage.

Incredible cow skull lamp by Ritual Arts Esoterica, mugs and spider sclpture by Queen of Lima Beans, coffin resin stashboxes by LimeTree Designs.

Self-serve punch station to pour over dry ice for spooky cocktails, which have been a staple at Monster Market events since the beginning!

Posters, shirts, and the space and goth corners in the shop!

The sunny little reading nook by the zines, books, and creepy spectral sounds on tape by Bihl.

The checkout was staffed with friends pulling volunteer shifts— lots of them dressed up to match the shop!

The view of the checkout counter from the front door as you walk in!

Our movie-watching den, with horror and sci-fi movies rolling non-stop all October!

Matching the movie to the outfit with a Hocus Pocus day!

2019 Branding & Promo

Speaking hopefully directly to our audience with a barrage of visual clues!

Promo poster design for Monster Market 2019— this pattern was a way of communicating what sorts of items and themes we carried in the shop, after finding out some folks thought it was just a Halloween store!
